Surgery in the same familiar office, with a surgeon on the team

Unlike most family practices, we perform wisdom teeth removal and oral surgery right here in our Orangeville clinic. Dr. Mustafa Abouzgia, our oral and maxillofacial surgeon, means you never need a referral across town.

About wisdom teeth & oral surgery

Procedures we provide in-house include simple and surgical extractions, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, sinus lifts, dental implant placement, treatment of jaw and joint problems, repair of tooth or jaw fractures, and biopsies.

Every surgery is done under local anaesthetic, with laughing gas or oral sedation available so you can be as relaxed as you need to be.

Why patients choose this treatment

  • Oral surgeon on our own team
  • No referral or travel to a separate surgical office
  • Laughing gas and oral sedation available
  • Clear written aftercare instructions and follow-up
  • Evening consultations Monday to Wednesday

Common concerns

I am terrified of surgery.

The area is completely numb, and laughing gas or oral sedation can help you relax. We will talk through the options at your consultation and choose what feels right for you.

What is recovery like?

Most patients are back to normal activities within a few days. We provide detailed aftercare instructions, and you can download them from our resources page.

What to expect

Your visit, step by step

  1. Step 1: Consultation

Examination and x-rays, a discussion of the procedure, and your choice of sedation.

  2. Step 2: Surgery day

Anaesthetic and sedation are administered, the procedure is completed, and you rest until you are ready to go home.

  3. Step 3: Aftercare

You leave with written instructions, and we schedule a follow-up if needed.

Not always. If they are healthy, fully erupted and easy to clean, they can stay. We remove them when they are impacted, crowding other teeth, decayed or causing pain.
